How to come to a relationship with God
1) Recognize That You Do Not Now Have a Relationship
Now I don't mean to offend, but if you are seriously reading this page, then, let's face it, you are reading this page because you recognize that you don't have a relationship with God, but are interested in having one.
Congratulations, you have already taken the first step in establishing a relationship with God. The Bible says:
"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
Our sin separates us from God. In fact, we are not only separated from God, we are actually His enemies; and as His enemies, we are under the penalty of death. The Bible says:
"The wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23).
So the bad news is that your sins have separated you from God, but then, you knew that already, or you would not be reading this page in the first place. So now that we have dispensed with the bad news, let's move on to some good news.
